Deceptive email subject lines are email subject lines that trick the members into opening your emails. There are many types of these email subject lines being used that have no bearing on the actual ad that is found in the email.

These email subject lines may get the reader to open the email, but once they find out what the email is deceptive, 99% of the people will delete it. Further, they will never sign up for that offer.

This is especially a problem for marketers with legitimate offers and services. It is difficult enough already to convince people to browse and open safelist email. But once a victim of opening mail with deceptive email subject lines, many marketers may pass up opening your legitimate email.

Deceptive email subject lines are considered SPAM and may cause you to lose you ISP or be fined and lose your business. Oh, did I mention that you will also loose your safelist if you use deceptive subject lines.
