The state of Georgia will not disappoint visitors and boasts the Blue Ridge Mountains and a scenic coastline. There are 48 State Parks and numerous historic sites. Georgia camping sites are a terrific way to enjoy the scenery and Andrews Cove Campground is an outstanding example. It is situated in a wooded cove on Andrews Creek against the backdrop of Rocky Mountain in Chattahoochee National Forest and there is room for RVs and tents. There are 10 camp sites with tent pads, picnic tables, grills and lantern posts. Campers can fish for trout in the Creek and enjoy the local hiking trails. The nearby town of Helen hosts an Octoberfest each Fall.

Lake Chatuge Campground is in the Blue Ridge Mountains, on the banks of the lake in northern Georgia. It's a great Georgia camping spot for enjoying outdoor pursuits, including hiking on the Chattahoochee Trail, fishing, swimming and whitewater paddling on the Hiwassee River and High Shoals Creek. There are also golf facilities at the Chatuge Shores Golf Course. In winter, there is skiing at the nearby Ski Valley.

Black Rock Mountain State Park is the highest State Park in Georgia and offers the best of Georgia camping hospitality. Accommodation is varied, with spaces for RVs and tents. Hook up sites supply water, electricity and cable TV access. There are also cottages for rent, a group camp and pioneer camps. This lovely site in the Blue Ridge Mountains is flanked by the Black Rock Mountain, standing at 3,640 feet. There are several hiking trails through the forest and the 17 acre lake is stocked with bass, bream, catfish, perch and trout.

The Wildcat Campground is on the banks of Lake Burton in a wildlife preserve and offers a more primitive experience of Georgia camping. Campers can truly get close to nature and fetch water from the creek, which must be boiled or treated. Trailers are catered for but there is a 22 foot length limit. Each site has a tent pad, lantern post, fire pit and picnic table. Pets can be taken but kept on a leash and fires can be lit in the fire rings. Hikers can enjoy the close by Appalachian National Scenic Trail. The nearby town of Mountain City contains the Foxfire Museum, which exhibits displays pertaining to life in the Appalachian community. There is a 14 day stay limit at this Georgia camping site, so everyone gets the chance to make a booking.
