Okay, it may seem cliché. But my honeymoon was probably the best three weeks of my life. Where did my husband and I decamp to? A destination totally off the beaten path. We went to Iceland. Each of us felt a peculiar little nostalgic attachment to our memories spent sitting at midnight having drinks, looking out over the country’s disorienting daylight. Our honeymoon was not a honeymoon most Americans would have chosen but it was a honeymoon that suited us. It captured certain memories. It captured a certain romance.
